LaPlaca Cohen
LaPlaca Cohen is an independent marketing agency in New York, partnering exclusively with the world’s leading museums, performing arts centers, educational institutions, botanical gardens, and mission-driven organizations. As the in-house Creative Director, I focused on clarifying the company’s brand story with an integrated campaign, messaging, art direction, brand templates, website, and original content.

Website
We needed a better way to visualize the agency’s expertise within a wide range of cultural experiences. By combining bright brand colors with playful illustrations, we were able to establish a fresh visual direction to be applied across multiple channels.
Brand Refresh
As part of its consulting services, LaPlaca Cohen conducts numerous workshops, stakeholder interviews, board presentations, and proposals. We designed the company’s templates to be consistent with its new identity, including updated typefaces, photography, data visualizations, case studies, and benchmarking examples. The intention was to create a user-friendly suite of tools for both designers and non-designers alike.
Content Series
Documentary-style short we created to pilot a content series. The platform takes two broad entities—design and culture—and combines them using footage and interviews with experts, each with their own unique perspective in their field. We aimed to expand the definition of culture and design, by exploring where the two fields overlap, intersect, and inform one another.

In collaboration with strategy and media leadership, we were able to elevate the agency’s offer and services, innovate efficient workflows between departments, and improve the overall team culture.
